What are building regulations?
Building regulations are an in-depth set of design and construction standards, applying to new-builds and alterations to existing buildings.
Some things they take into account include workmanship standards, materials used, structural requirements, insulation, energy conservation, fire safety, building use and access.
The drawings that were submitted for your planning approval are accurate, but basic. Once planning permission has been approved, you’ll need another set of more detailed drawings for the purpose of gaining building regulation control approval.
